I knew unique content helped but didn't realise it helped so much. My main site... has alot of unique text of my own but is mainly media, it took me a while to get ranked well for the terms I wanted to. But my most recent site which is a magic site (I am an ametuer magician) was something I was passionate about, obviously so I could bang out paragraphs with 10 times more ease because I knew what I was talking about and I wanted to make it top notch. It's still a newish site but is already ranked #2 in Yahoo for a very popular search term for beginner magicians. I'm just mentioning this as sort of well a shock obviously and also advice to newbies, or rather people who think they can just slap any old rubbish together, it will fade and get you nowhere! My advice to any real Adsense newbies and it's advice which has been given many times, but it's so important: 1. Make a site about something you absolutely know about and care about and love to talk on and on about. The content will flow naturally from your anxious fingers and it won't feel like work! 2. Submit your link to all major search engines, make a myspace page and add as many people from related groups as you can before you pass out from exhaustion! 3. Read about SEO and ad placement non stop and most of all experiment yourself, what works for others might not work for you. Trial and error! keep at it and don't give up. 4. Once you have your ads placed and configured and channel'd to perfection, trade links, dont buy them, PR doesn't count for much these days, some of my PR1 sites are ranked way above PR3/4 sites, it's all about content and SEO! 5. NEVER GIVE UP. 6. Watch the money roll in 7. Stop reading this and work till your fucking eyes fall out! Adsense is the best, fuck supermarket work. Web design, adsense, internet marketing till I drop ! PS. by the way I'm no Adsense king lmao I earn shit income, I just haven't followed the advice myself yet! but I'm getting there.
