Hello all, I have been a member of digitalpoint forums for last few months. I am very confused about the process of infractions. I have recieved 4-5 infractions in the last 4 days. Two because i asked for a review copy (two for the same thread post). another because i posted "send me the details" in a free earning thread. other two had no details. One was a "private" and another one was "profile infraction". Is there any guidelines or tutorials where i can know more about infractions and how to avoid them or how to report an infraction by error? I believe many other DP members have the same query. I wish the mods will help me out.
This and other similar questions related to infractions or reputation should be posted in the Suggestion & Feedback section. A good way to stay clear of trouble here on DP is to read the FAQ and all the sticky threads available on the section I mentioned above.
You need to set your email settings on DP to accept emails from admin. This will allow you to receive an email every time you get an infraction. It will tell in that email what the infraction was given for. There are many rules and even more stickies with updated rules. Many have asked for all rules to be compiled and put in one place but it does not look like this will happen. The thread getjimmy gave you is a good start but many rules have been added since that. I started a thread for newbies that might help some. Just try to do the best you can and read as many stickies as possible.
oh sorry for posting. Mods, Please dont give me another infraction. Please delete this thread. I tried to find info about infractions, but failed. Now i got it. Please Delete this thread. And if possible, please check the status of my reputations. the comments contain abusive language. Is that normal?
dont worry yourself over a infraction. sometimes, I have know idea why the hell I got an infraction, but 1 infraction dosnt do anything. you need 10 all at the same time (without them expiring) to get temporarily banned. dont worry
Don't worry about your infractions or your REPUTATION. If you complain you will even make it worse. - Prilep
But i have already got 8 points infraction, expiring on August. 5 for a profile infraction, and 1 each for 3 other infractions. I dont want to get banned. Please remove this thread mods. I cant risk any more infractions.
When you want a thread closed or deleted contact the mods by clicking on the red sign on the top-right corner.
Thanks a lot emperor, I just did that. I hope this thread will be deleted soon, hopefully without infractions.
