    Hi,
I'm designing this website, for the first time ever. and I've made two sections. as you can see in the attached file. I've got 2 sections and then the footer as well on the bottom, I've managed to make these two sections. but my problem is that if one section is for some reason longer than the other because of text etc. etc. I get a gap between the footer and the other section. What did I do wrong?. or what could I do to make both sections be equal in height. I know a dodgy way of doing this, but i'd rather learn the proper way.

    Please help.
    Thanks.

    Paul.

    1. For future purposes, you want to post code. That is unless you find a psychic HTML+CSS guru hotline.
    2. Google up faux columns assuming this is even a CSS layout.

lol..okay man... I'm pretty sure I came to the "CSS forum" because i had a "CSS layout problem". I think you would've understood when I said "Its my first time making a website" that i'm not really going to know what to ask about, I was only addressing my problem to see what solutions there may be, so if its my code you want, no need to be sarcastic about it, you could've just asked for it. anyway I figured it out, just came back to say that I know what to do. yes my solution was faux columns.

    thanks for your time.

    Seriously though.

There are about a hundred ways you can code things using either tables or css... a screenshot just doesn't do any good for some things. Code is much more helpful.

yeh, i get what your saying, but in this case I think faux columns would be the best solution.

    Thanks again.

I'm not disagreeing. That was #2. There aren't much simple solutions to mimic equal height columns.
