Aliging div id using css

    I am trying to align a div id using css...

    My code:
    #tabs {margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; width: 105em;}

    This works in firefox, but doesn`t in IE...Anyone know why...?

    put an outer div around the #tabs div and align the outer div
