Here's a little story for you all. For a few years I was using a gaming PC that was built by Antec. The computer was great, did all the jobs I needed it to do but lacked graphics for good gaming. So I decided to finially sell my old pc, and upgrade to an Alienware gaming pc. All I can say is WOW, what an amazing job they did. Anyone that has the money I defintely suggest to buy one of these great rigs, It cost me around $5550 USD. If you've got the money go out and get one today! ~ Slutz ~
I can't imagine buying a PC that cost more then my used car. I don't really see a need to pay $6000 for a pc either when you can get a BEAST right for $1k. But I dont doubt thats a sick rig
That seems a great machine. Good choice, Quality always comes with a cost but this seems too costly. One can go for that as long as it is affordable...
w o o o o o w simply , Those pictures look ultimate. Must get on average on games atleast 100FPS or even more. Problem is, that these great things cost ubeer moneys. I've decied to upgrade my PC whenever i am able so i've upgraded from 2GB RAM to 4GB RAM and from a 512mb graphics to a new Sapphire HD5550 1GB Graphics card
@seagate, what video card did you have before? It seems people never learn that 1GB memory on a GPU that doesn't really have the power to use it is equal to ZERO. HD 5550 is wasted money, if you ask me. On-topic: Alienware was also some kind of Bugatti in the PC gaming world. Unfortunately, resell value of a Bugatti car can't be compared to one of a computer - Alienware or not, a computer will fall below 40% of its purchase price in less than two years...
@kodrutz I cant exactly remember what it was , but it was a radeon 512MB something or other, IT was okay but i noticed it was lagging on high performance games such as FSX even with gamebooster etc. So i've upgraded to a Sapphire 1GB HD5550 and it plays FSX quite smoothly , from my average FPS of 15 , its not doubled atleast,. I also upgraded from 2GB Ram to 4GB RAM which i havent been able to test at the moment as i've just recently upgraded to x64 to get full use of my RAM and not installed everything back yet And i can see where your coming from omparing it to the bugatti of cars . as you mentioned , overtime they will get cheaper and cheaper as we get more advanced with technology and start having 100GB ram etc
If you can still change the card where you bought it without any problems, replace the 5550 with a 5770. I got a 4770 almost two years ago and it still kicks a*s for my needs - only 1280X1024 monitor, so I can still play most new releases with all the eye candy turned on.
i got it on ebuyer or play , i think it was ebuyer. I didnt have enough money at the time for that model but im okay with was i have at. Its good for my needs
That's what i call Great Gaming Performance hahaha i will get it one day Great cost for Great Performance money is not the matter
Nice, I'm glad you're happy with your purchase, I personally prefer building my own PC's, but to each their own.
