    Hi everybody. My first post.

    I have been trying to setup an alias in Apache so I can work on different sites and have each folder in the URL pointing to a specific location. Though the alias points to the correct location and loads up the correct folder, whenever I click on a file I get the following message:

    I thought it might be that it couldn't see the files. So I made the directory root the alias folder and I could view the same folder and all the files (php, html etc.) loaded correctly. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

    I installed apache, php, mysql using XAMPP. I setup the Alias myself which looks like:

    If you've got any ideas please do share them with me as I'm a little lost. Would what I'm trying to do be better done through a virtualhost?
