Algorithm Changes from Google

Reading between the lines I reckon there has been a big change at Google. Original content (not spins of) seems to be doing much better in its search engine. Also, the quality of the original content seems higher.

Do you reckon the algorithm can now penalise bad spelling? I'm hoping it can. They must be able to detect and demote articles which include incorrect spellings - don't you think?

Ideally Google must want excellent, original content at the top of its SERPs not the work of a smuck who understands keywords but has as much writing talent as a puppy dog.

Considering Google can detect if you mis-spell a search term, I'm sure they can do this.

To be really honest everyone who is complaining or worried about (Not meant towards the OP) shouldn't be on the top page, and Google is doing the right thing.

Of course they can know if you have bad spelling, but I wouldn't think they would punish you for say one or two mistakes, they must have a ratio they think is acceptable, like 2 words out of 60 (just an example).

allowing 2 out of 60 words misspelt is far too many. Misspellings stand out and say "amateur" and "thrown together" to many readers.

More than misspelling I hope Google have found a way of doing down the spinners. Taking an original idea and putting it in your own words + the appropriate keyword saturation (or whatever it is low lives do) and getting top spot is unfair.

If Google did start rewarding original thought and good quality writing real writers could make a living online. That's how it should be...

Google should penalise (stomp while it dances over) the use of such terms as "lol" too.

It isn't news it is just speculation based on logic - hardly the same thing. It would be interesting to hear any anecdotal evidence which backs it up..

with the passage of time the google algorithm is becoming more and more sensible. This should be treated as a good sign by everyone who is making healthy efforts on his end for a good SERP

actually, yes, they can reject your content if it's not new, but I see lot's of websites everyday ranking well with almost no original content

Those of us who can write and don't have to spin will be fine. If there was any justice and Google actually developed a algorithm which could detect new content things would change. The real writers would start earning big time and the spinners and rip off artists paying poorly for content would be down and out.

This has been a weird issue but Google needs to switch things up to prevent BlackHatters from Benefiting.
