    For some of my sites, it updates every other day (when i watched it a month ago), and other sites update once a week... i think it depends on your rank, the higher the rank, the more often it updates

    So More The Toolbars Installed More Frequent Updates

    i remember a while back that I heard Alexa toolbar was Malware. I know that spybot search and destroy removes it.

    will your alexa rank go up if I visit it every day (say once)? Or does it depend on the unique visitors?

    Yes, it is a good idea to to install the Alexa toolbar and browse your own site.

    Alexa update every three day for some of my sites

    It's weird. One of my sites just went up 100,000 spots. :D

    I would think that I could get on the Movers and Shakers but I guess not.

    YES it will effect but one user daily visit is 0.1%

    90% it depends upon the unique visitors.

    It updates daily and if you want inc. your rank only install alexa bar and refresh your site.

    Install the toolbar. There's one for IE and a plugin for Firefox.

    You can then add your site to this thread. If everyone visits these on a regular basis, we'll all benefit.

    *Alexa is really only valuable if you are selling links or blog posts.
