Hi adrent Having a domain in Alexa's top 40k does not really add a lot of value to it, if any. What is important is backlinks from other website, actual traffic to the domain, etc. Many unscrupulous webmasters make use of fake traffic generator software and scripts and could easilly move a website into Alexa's top ranks. In the meantime those domains don't get any real traffic. Just a word of advise...
