Ya I want the actual toolbar I think they have it for firefox and ie but I havent heard anything about chrome coming into the mix
I sure hope not - alexa is spyware. And with googles stance on spyware/malware - there is no reason to have the alexa spyware toolbar work with chrome.
how alexa is it spyware. google is spyware in itself.. they track your emails for ad targeting. They record all web searches... lol
alexa tracks your internet activity. Its a program thta runs without your knowledge and there is no way to turn it off. Most of the time, the only way to disable alexa is to remove it with a spyware removal program. Then use yahoo, bing, mama, ask, dogpile,,,, But regardless of what search engine you use, alexa is still tracking your internet activity.
I didnt know that alexa tracks internet activity that maybe the reason why people say that you will have a chance in alexa ratings if you often visited alexa site...Anyway I guess toolbar is only applicable for IE and firefox for now but I guess google chrome might add such features later on too
the toolbar only can be installed in IE.sparky is the alternative for firefox. when sparky came out,it wasn't developed by alaxa.that's why they look so different.sparky isn't really a toolbar.
I once tried Google Toolbar and I found it too difficult to install. There is none actually but there is an indirect hack to install it.... When Google chrome has no provision of Google toolbar then no question about alexa toolbar.. Moreover Alexa toolbar is like Spyware..
Here's the official Extension: https://chrome.google.com/extensions/detail/cknebhggccemgcnbidipinkifmmegdel
I agree with the opinion that Alexa is a spyware software... but how do you think it can detect traffic and make Alexa Rank without monitoring internet activity?
