Alexa search and ranking?

I've noticed that I have no search results on Alexa anyone know why this search engine does not index? also my new site had old traffic sources roughly the same amount each day my Alexa rank was 120,000 but since my new site is active the traffic has increased on a massive scale but my Alexa rank has dropped to 189,000 even thou there is new traffic and is continuing to fall!?

 

Alex ranking and stats are based on the number of people that use their toolbar and happen to visit your site. So you should take their stats with a grain of salt, though their back links list can be useful for looking at competitors site. Make sure robots.txt isn't blocking their bot and maybe search your website on there, that may have them send out their bot. I'm not sure if you can ping alexa for new posts or not.

 

If your traffic increase Alexa ranking already increase.

Alexa ranking are used by online advertiser only nothing more because advertiser are focusing on high Alexa, but in reality Alexa ranking is useless can be manipulated. Focus more on SERP rather than this Alexa Ranking.

If Alexa rank is your target, first you install the alexa tool bar. And ask your website users (can be friends or colleagues) to use alexa toolbar when opening your website.

Anyways your traffic is increasing gradually, so alexa rank will also be set soon.

Alexa rank is not that much effective as the page rank is. So you don't need to worry much about this.

 

Alexa is not a search engine. That is why it doesn't index you.

2. Put an Alexa rank widget on your site. EX:

3. Encourage others to use the Alexa toolbar.
4. Using the Alexa toolbar in office.
5. Send website to your friends.
7. Advertise your website to the webmaster forums.
8. Write content related to webmasters.
9. Get dugg or stumbled.
10. Using PPC-PayperClick campaign.
