Second, if you were referring to me and that JavaScript I posted a few posts up, you just need to get over it. I don't even HAVE the Alexa toolbar (make an extra buck? ) as the Alexa rankings are a joke because they are so easy to manipulate.

Third, if you want to throw another immature tantrum and name-call, throw it toward the people running Alexa. Not the guy(s) who post the reasons why Alexa sucks.

Alexa Ranking is not very important, simply purchase Alexa Booster 3.2 and watch yourself increase.

basically what bobby9101 is saying is that webmasters should be banned from using the alexa toolbar because that consitutes us as cheaters.

btw, you're misinformed, alexa counts by uniques, not pageloads. their algorithm isn't that simple.

 

it takes in # of uniques and pageviews per person. Using those two, it comes up with your rank.

 

actuallly, i dont think they should be banned. but i do think the should check their consiounce (*sp)

 

I tried and use this script and it works great for me. I'm not a faggot, but since you choose to use the word rather than another, I'm guessing you have issues with your own sexuality.

Regardless of your sexual preference, these scripts are good. It shows that the system is screwed up and needs to be fixed, much like you.

 

Actually Alexa is useless

The only people who install the toolbar are webmasters designers developers and seo people.

Your mom dad sis bro best friends and other normal non web interested people do not have Alexa installed so the stats are therefore not representative of the Internet as a whole.

 

Alexa Rankings can be easily manipulated so one should no rely only on alexa rankings as a way to measure a site’s worth. True site traffic stats would give more weight to selling ads or trading links than just the alexa numbers.

I admit that I over reacted, and it was not dircted towrads homosexuals at all.
I recieved an infraction, and 3 negative reps.
I still expect to recieve a few more neg reps before this post gets buried.

I understand that completely, my point was never in regards to the fact that it should be taken as accurate (if that word even means anything these days)

My point was, that a lot of people (not any of you in specific) when they see someone else with a pagerank (another now useless itme) of 6+ or and alexa of -50,000, or are placed high in the rankings for a good term. They think "instead of me working to do better, let me just use a little trick to get myself ahead of the game."

I appluad Port for the script and proving how easy it is to manipulate.
