Does it directly {or indirectly} affect PR or SERPs in Google? I know I'm probably going to get 700 different answers on this, but I heard that at one point it used to. Trying to troubleshoot my site's own difficulties in reclaiming its old spot after a move and our Alexa rank is pretty pitiful, since we aren't on Proboards anymore and therefore not mooching off their Alexa of around 900.
I don't think Alexa ranking would have impacts on PR or SERP just like Google has announced that traffic from Adwords would not benefit site's SERP or PR. All the best,
Thanks. Though Adword traffic having an effect would be over the line for them since that is influenced by money directly, meaning it'd allow people to directly buy a rank boost. Alexa ranking can't be directly bought that way.
