Alexa is worthless IMO. Have never understood why people even care about it. PR is "almost" worthless. The PR of your URL does almost nothing for it's rankings. The PR of pages on other web sites that link to your URL can add a little "punch" to your inbound links if they already have good link text and are coming from relevant pages.
It's just prestige in my opinion... Alexa measures only websites visited by users who have alexa toolbar installed, so their ranking is not worldwide. How good it is depends on number of users who have their toolbar installed and visited your site. It can represent some statistical value, but nothing more. I had PR4 on one of my sites, and it dropped to PR0 for no apparent reason (static site) and it stays there. But the search engine rankings for my niche still get me on top So I see no relevance in PR related to search ranking. Important is that you rank high as that is what gets traffic, and traffic means money

good to have both ranking high as it would stick. The more higher your pr is for your site the longer you will stay up in the search enginee and harder to get kick off the top in my experience that is.
The higher your page rank and the more visitors to your site, then the lower your alexa rating. It works together hand in hand, however, backlinks are the most important factor in determining search engine positions.
Right now PR is not reliable because there are people who are doing tricks on it... Alexa Ranking is much reliable but it doesn't affect anything... i thing SERP is the best...
Alexa ranking and PR are parameters that have nothing to do with site quality and popularity. Not a big fan of these two factors. You should focus on getting good ranking and traffic instead.
