I'm working on a new site from just within a month. The keyword I targeted is ranking well on Google but I'm worry that my Alexa rank is decreasing very fast. When I started working, it was about "4,87,8997" but now it is "15,882,586" Am I doing anything wrong? Please suggest... Thanks

My gaming blog - Scolex Portal, with a 3-month old domain now has an alexa rank of 362,487 - from about 25,000,000 when i purchased the domain name on August 2010 now i'm enjoying at around 300,000. My target is to have it at 200,000 but there is pretty tough competition out there.

As many have said above, Alexa isn't that accurate. Have you noticed a drop in actual visitors? Do you have any analytics installed on your site. I find Google Analytics very useful (note: if you use it on a UK registered website you need to notify your users that you are using cookies to comply with data protection) and it integrates with other third party software.
