What is Alexa Ranking and how it is different from Google Page Rank?

 

Alexa ranking is based on the amount of traffic a specific site is receiving. PageRank is Google's view of how important your website is.

Page rank is given by google it despond on website quality, traffic, back links.
Both are important to have for website.

 

Alexa ranking (traffic ranking) means your site is on the number (Alexa ranking number) in traffic out of all websites Google recognize.

And also the lower your alexa, the better it is. Some sites I've visited has an alexa of 7k, 4k, and some are even 1k which means they have really huge traffic.

 

Difference is: google rank makes you earn money; alexa rank may help you figure out how to rank better in Google.
