Not that I care about Alexa that much, but I was curious. If you install the bar and visit a site at Alexa.com it gives you the following url:

    www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details/yoursite.com?max=25 ?amzn_id=alexa65-tb-20 &p=TBChrome_T_t_40 _L1

do you think this url or visiting with it has an impact on traffic?

Also has anyone heard what the other "sources" of info are? Personally I have a suspicion they are taking info from DMOZ now to undo the skew...

Alxa only counts hits form browsers who has alexa toolbar. I dont think its vale if of any importance to google or any one as it does not gives you any idea of the quality of the website.

I know the information is skewed. I was just wondering if visiting via the above URL would have an effect. But I guess without a toolbar it's useless. Oh Well!
