For one site, I have had 12 links showing at Alexa FOREVER (23,000 rank). Today, I have 170 sites "linking in". Huge increase. So, what do I get? Anything, other than ego massage?
They switched from Google's index to MSN's, which generally shows more backlinks. But, yes - sorry no change to "reality" - just a different view of it.
Ahh, phynder, makes sense. The ratio is about right - greater than 10x, MSN vs. Google. So, in other words, Alexa now shows MSN sites linking in, instead of Google sites.
Yeah - since Alexa is owned by Amazon and Amazon moved from Google to MSN results. A most curious move - I wonder what the politics behind it were. This also affects A9 results (if anyone cares)...
