alexa is wrong?

    this is really weird... this is the alexa ranking of my site. it says i have 600.000 pageviews a day:confused: but i got only 300. also the email adress is wrong, this is very weird ranking...

    Yes, Alexa is wrong in nearly every sense of the word, definition ...

    Rather than sit here and bash them I would merely suggest you use the search feature and view the plethora of threads regarding them .... .01% may be positive and they're likely wrong ;)

    Agreed, Alexa is easy to manipulate and for the most part is very general in nature.

    The only "flaw" if it can even be called that is that it appears to not treat sub-domains as separate entities and provides the stats as the main domain - other than that, it seems quite close.

    hehehe it would be interesting to find out how they accumulate the stats or if they are using an api of some sort to generate the info. I could think of many applications for this ;) ... some could actually up my adsense revs! ... ie build fresh content everyday ... ie check this site to see what I mean http://www.gurudaq.com ... starting to get the picture? ... directory listings shuffling ....:)
