Alexa ranking pitched my backlinks at 35 for the past 1 year. I have manually done more than more 100 backlinks since then but the 35 never changed to anything. What am i not doing right or should i just ignore them ?
As far as I understand, Alexa links our counted per domain, so they all link from one domain, are counted as one. And it takes time for new links to appear. They also seems to be not so accurate.
I am not sure well of alexa but i think it would be from any visitors who use alexa toolbar to visitor our blog then our alexa rank will decrease as well.
Alexa is a web traffic information provider that provides all related issues of traffic. It mainly gives (inaccurate) traffic statistics. It gives every site an ‘Alexa score’; a score of one would be the most popular site. This is the thing that is not to ignore. Currently i do not have any practical concept regarding your problem, but whenever I get its perfect solution, I will be back and tell you about. Thanks for sharing such a genius problem.
I have noticed this with my new site as well. I have over 25 backlinks and it says i have 0. Guess i will have to wait and see.
well, you can increase your alexa ranking by simple way,.. using this method http://www.premiumtrick.com/2010/05/alexa-traffic-booster.html
why you care how many backlinks alexa shows - it is not a search engine that may take it into account when showing search results
I too have been experiencing trouble with the Alexa backlinks not updating. I have many backlinks, but only 9 showing up in Alexa for the past 6 months. Why? It's not that it's very important, but....
The traffic rank is based on three months of aggregated historical traffic data from millions of Alexa Toolbar users and data obtained from other, diverse traffic data sources, and is a combined measure of page views and users.
