Alexa How often do the Rankings update?

    How often does Alexa.com update their rankings for sites.. Because my 1 week average is alot lower all the time and wondering when that will become my rank..

    Well what your 1 week average will turn into your rank..

    Other then that. they usally update my rank every 2 weeks or so

    That ranking is the 3 months average, you must perform at that same pace for 3 months and you will have a similar figure to your daily rank and the 3 months one! ;)

    Its similar to Page rank updates. Although i have been told by a colleague that they have updated twice within three weeks before. But Alexa traffic and other ranks can be really inaccurate. I prefer technocrati.

    I guess they update on monthly bases for sites that are over their top 100,000 rank.

    Well my site hovers around 36,000-44,000 Alexa Rank, and I usually see the number updated every week.

    My site hovered around 100k and there the update seemed to take place once every three days. Now that I've dropped a bit (200K+), I'm seeing a weekly update.

    Maybe it's a location thing? Maybe it's a toolbar thing?

    I use the the Search Status toolbar from quirk.biz, as it seems to be less of a spyware thing (like the actual alexa bar).

    I have the alexa toolbar installed. Sometimes when it updates, it will revert back to the old # when I load a new page...I guess it just takes a while for the update to set in. I see the daily rank update around noon everyday.

    Alexa ranking update varies... it depends on your site I think. Mine is updated twice a week.

    I have recently seen them doing very random updates, so you never can be sure. In the past it appeared to happen every week to two weeks.

    Yeh recently unpredicatable.

    My main problem is the inaccuracy thats creeping into there rankings.

    I had a colleague ranked higher than me and he was getting 10 times more traffic.
