Alexa down?

Noticed Alexa thumbnails not working on any of my directories, or anyone elses for that matter. No Alexa homepage either. Was this some kind of scheduled maintenance?

Does anyone know of any real alternative to Alexa thumbnails? Alexa seems to be the only one that's has thumbs for virtually the entire web, with exception of new sites. If there was an alternative, I could keep a backup template to quickly upload and use on those days when Alexa is acting up.

Looks good. I have seen Thumbshots.org before, but since they only have thumbs for DMOZ-listed sites, it's not really a viable option since the vast majoriy of sites won't be listed in DMOZ.

I could certainly do the same to the directory itself, but it seems like a waste of bw... The idea was to make the directory fast. Loading pics/screen shots of the sites would be a bit cumbersome for some users loading the site IMHO.
