hi there! I have a couple of listings in Alexa - they're pretty much at the top of their categories. My first one was in a regional listing so i wasn't that surprised when i got no traffic from it. But now i have a listing in a second level category arts/weblogs nearly at the top and zero traffic. do any of you that have alexa listings get any traffic from it? Thomas
No visitors yet from them, but I did get a pretty sweet ranking for my directory. Which is odd because other sites I have get alot more traffic.
I think my all time record was a whopping two uniques from Alexa with a monthly ~6000 total SE traffic uniques.
I found that on my own directory.I think it's because a lot the people who submit to them have the Alexa toolbar installed.
its a bit bizarre. surely the people that use the alexa toolbar also use the alexa directory. so you'd expect there to be a lot of traffic on it. unless people that use the toolbar give up on the directory. i use the firefox extension search status which means my browsing is included in alexa stats as far as i know. seems to make a big difference to the alexa ranking of my sites. What about the google directory then?
Alexa is a nice concept but pretty much seems to suck in all ways. Oh well. Never got any but 1 or 2, either.
I always check sites on Alexa it's turning into a habit...anyway no I have'nt recieved any hits either.
.0001875 of my traffic comes from Alexa - that's about 3 visitors per day out of over 16,000 - I suspect that's likely other webmasters checking out my site(s) and not real visitors at that ....
