From what i've read, Alexa Ratings are based on Data comprised of surfers who "have" the Alexa Toolbar Installed on their machine. 1. What good is this Data? 2. Is Alexa able to determine approximately how many people actually visit a Site on a Given Day? 3. I know that they give you an "Estimated percentage of global internet users who visit"...but WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? Is there any websites out there that can estimate (with reasonable acutacy the number of visitors per day?
Alexa is still considered an authority on website rankings. And let me clear that they collect data from other sources also in addition to the toolbar.
