Alexa BUG or not?

Hello everyone,

Yesterday my Alexa rank (global) are 70.967. But today i see 399.138!

How can i lose 320k rank in a day? It's a bug or not? Do you have any idea?

Nice looking site. Maybe you could wait a little bit until this weekend and monitor your tracking. Remember that the internet is full of fancy and complex algorithms and they change VERY fast. For example, Google updates its algorithm 500 times a year!

If the problem persists then you could start doing some gradual SEO work in order to improve your rankings again.

7 months IS new... If you said 7 years, I'd be a bit concerned.

Mia sorry 7 month not new for me. I learn now, its is a not bug. The Alexa team send me a message for about my problem. They are told me;

"The rank change is not a bug. When your site's metrics are certified you can choose to base your site's rank on the directly-measured certified metrics in order to get a more accurate ranking of your website. You chose to base your site's rank on certified metrics on March 28th and that is why your global rank went from 70,967 to 399,138.

In some cases, your new rank will be better than your old rank and in some cases worse. The Alexa Rank compares your website against every other site in the world based on the number of visitors and pageviews to your site. If you choose to use Certified metrics to rank your site then the visitors and pageviews are measured directly from your website. If you don't use certified metrics to rank your site, then the visitors and pageviews are estimated based on data from our panel of toolbar users. Your rank may move up or down depending on how close the estimates were to the directly-measured metrics."
