    What's the benefit of allowing alexa to eat bandwidth for archiving ?

    No role at all with SEO, good or bad. Alexa is a bunch of crap anyway and I wouldn't be too worried about it. It is very easily manipulated and therefore doesn't provide accurate information.

    If bandwidth is the concern for you, then I would block it. Otherwise, I would just leave it alone.
