Alexa Always Offline

Hi,

I have been accessing Alexa over the past few days and it always seems to be slow loading, offline or error within the page. I have tried other sites at the same time and these work fine does anyone else notice this with Alexa.

I was thinking it may be a hacker attack as is is unusual for a major site to be offline so much.

 

works fine for me.

it's something on your end or with your isp. try flushing your dns, rebooting your computer/modem, contacting your isp if you're really desperate, or just waiting it out.

Hi ottodo i am in the UK and the problems i have been getting with them have been going on for the past few days.

 

Kinda slow for me, but worked fine once I got to it.

 

Slow loading or timeouts for me. However loads *faster* if I use the IP: http://209.237.238.100. Which I find very odd. I am on Tiscali if anyone cares.

 

I am in the uk and have had several problems with Alexa as well - I never really visit it much - although the odd time it seems to work fine, so maybe they were doing some upgrade on serving pages to the uk.

 

Im also in the UK.

Nearly every time I visit the site it is slow. If its not improtant I just leave after trying to access a couple of pages.

 

I have sent a email to Alexa. I will post back what they say. To me it seems like a UK limited problem in connection to a DNS issue.

 

Alexa.com seems to load fine from me. I'm in the US.

 

TVCokeCan if you can do let us know what they say, At first i thought it was just my own connection but I'm glad i posted this now as it seems i am not the only one with problems.

US loads fine UK not could this be server upgrades, i have been getting problems for at least the last 6 days.

 

Hmm they said "Check now" basicly.

it still may be an ISP specific problem. from my understanding you guys don't exactly have a whole lot of choice between ISPs in the UK.

on one of my sites I swear every other person from the UK uses NTL

 

We do really.. Erm. Tiscali, Pipex, NTL, Sky, Plusnet, Granted Tiscali sucks!

 

Nope, nothing to do with ISP. I am suffering exactly the same problems since last week, alexa takes ages to load, sometimes it doesn't load at all or it does but all the images are broken
