Funny - if it's your website, alexa rank doesn't matter, you have the actual numbers for your own traffic.
Also - it's a very shallow analysis of your own traffic. "Techies" says absolutely nothing about the topics you speak of. If you must "listen" to something, it's to numbers. Test monetization in different ways, keep the ones that show most promise, regardless of the feedback from few of the readers.

I'm also confused, I have website with 1k visitors(unique ips) alexa rank is 700k
another website with 2000 visitors , alexa rank 80k

 

1000 unique visitors could be called a decent start into the big league. You need to have more traffic for improved adsense. Now, coming back to the Affiliate marketing, even if you have huge traffic also does not mean they could convert. Its the nature of your traffic that is related to affilaite sales, the narrower the niche more the conversion. Try to focus on narrowing down the focus area and add more related content and promote related products.
