You really didn't try too hard _____________________________ If all goes to plan, he can't possibly make it... anyone who buys an ad now is basically only getting one for something like 10 months. Hopefully he will just call it a day and leave it online as a piece of,.. what was it? .... "Internet Failure History". James.
Still missing the point. Your username is 30K challange (which i'm gussing is a copycat of the 15k challenge, how did you do? i carnt see a link to your site, and i liked reading that 15k challange site before it finished?) --- If you do not make your 30k, you have failed. If Alex Tew's site doesnt make him and someone else $1m -- it has failed. It doesnt matter how much you make, unless you hit the point you wanted, the project has failed its name. It's not the "as much as i can make Challenge" Tews site was supposed to make him, and another person $1m ("win $1m by clicking ads") He does cover for this possiblility in his FAQ, but im sure he thought it was going to be as big as the million doller homepage -- he talks about "rounds", where the board will be cleard, and started again. If its this slow on the first round, i doubt the next rounds will be better. (p.s he's promised to give 100,000 to charity, so that leaves him $50k )
His first site was a 'feel good' novelty to help a poor guy go to Uni and buy some socks which picked up a lot of momentum and returned good traffic to people buying pixels. He made his million, ditched Uni and went on a party spree. (At least he bought some socks) Now he comes out with the same site, just the charity twist, and apart from a bit of initial buzz, people don't buy into it this time, no surprise.
