Hmmm I bought a typo just for fun (pixelitto). All the page has is a statcounter (and the ads (not mine) from free hosting). So far 2 uniques, one of them has 3 page views, guess he/she was trying to drive up the counter;)

I honestly expected more, but oh well.

I'd recommend, if you are going to spend money to do so on hulkster's site. This is something he does every year and a lot of people benefit. I assume you will get better quality traffic and his site does extremely well this time of year.

So I signed up to win the million and did my 10 daily alloted clicks. Out of the 10 clicks that registered only 2 pages actually loaded in a new window and they took some time so I didn't even let the second one load before closing it and moving on to my next click. My daily allotment of 10 clicks took me all of 30 seconds.

Yeah - I noticed that also. I imagine the advertisers are still getting a decent deal with non-contest traffic - even if it is irrelevant traffic. Heck - I did find a couple of interesting sites clicking around.

If you are signed in as a player do the links change from static links to tracking links? Otherwise I'm wondering how they are keeping track of who has click which ad and how many times.

I've got a feeling the only traffic going to that site now is:

    1. People who own ads, and want to keep looking at their ads.
    2. Us, who want to see how badly the site is doing. lol

I didnt think this site would work. It was just the same as the last -- and i'm not sure he really sells it to anyone outside of the UK about being legally allowed to enter the lotto???

He should have innovated a bit more. The promise of the lottery wasn't enough.

I don't think he will refund the money. That isn't part of Pixelotto's rules.

This is what I don't get with you people.. Everyone brag about how "smart" he is with this idea, but I would NEVER pay someone for a SMALL pixel banner to link to my site. There are a lot of similar banner advertisement pages like this (pay 1$ and we'll add your banner to our frontpage) I don't see anything different on them.

There are much better advertising ideas out there, and just because there are a lot of stupid people clicking in to those sites, making such a big deal about it thats the way you get visitors!

MAKE a big deal about your site, you don't have to upload an half inch pixel banner to get a lot visitors especially stupid ones who thinks this dumb is smart and that's laughable he's just out to trick people and I'm not jelous that's just my 0.2 cents..

Same with Ebay when you have an "abnormal" item you can get a lot of money for it by stupid guys, just because you have all the attention from bored out media and advertising people doesn't what you deliver is any good. That's what I think.

Yeah, poor guy only made $100,000 this time. That's like a weeks salary for us normal webmasters, he's such a loser. ;)

He was smart with the original MDHP, he hit the million dollar mark, no matter how much complains and whines about the actual idea, he did make it succeed...once. I will agree that it wasnt very smart to try and do the same thing twice.

Sure it was, it just wasn't as successful. Only $150,000 this time around. It's still a nice amount though.
