Anyone know where he gets his hosting from?

(the old page is nearly 1/2meg, so the bandwidth must be phenomenal and the server load must be huge)

I'm considering buy $200 worth of pixels. But I'm just not so sure about it. What you get for $200 is so small...

You are the first person I've ever seen attempt to discredit someone using paypal fees, hosting, taxes, and other business expenses. When ShoeMoney posts his check and everyone says "wow" do you chime in with the same "whoopity doo half goes to tax"?

I've never discredited Alex Tew. I followed his story from before he sold even a grand worth of space and with much admiration. I'm only showing to all those people who call him a millionaire that he isn't. That's all.

    Now chill out man...

I said "what the hell" and went and bought a $200 square. I got a spot on the top line, towards the right corner, which seems like it might do OK. I'm curious to see how this goes.

On a side note, it's hard as hell trying to make something into a 10px x 10px square and actually have it look good or noticeable!

Will be interesting to see if Alex can pull this one off - it's a clever idea, but as we are seeing, not that difficult to copycat and numerous people are already doing so. However, he was quite successful before (hats off to him for that) and does seem to have a big jump outa the gate.

BTW, for those of you interested in getting some click-thru traffic, folks who donate to charity can get listed/linked on my Controllable Christmas Lights for Celiac Disease ... and that page gets just a wheeee bit of traffic this time of the year! ;-)

No one has mentioned that Alex will be donating $100,000 to a charity that the $1M winner will pick. A very generous offer. Probably a smart tax move too.

Well when you are taking home $900k it's easy to give away $100k. He'll never miss it, let along think about it.

It was a smart publicity move but I think the reason it's not getting much attention is that people don't care about that.
