Didn't I say so in the other thread that his promise of substantial publicity could get him into trouble?! His cockiness is back-firing. One might say "get off the kid's back, the ddos attack could have happened to anyone" blah blah but when you enter big money games you have to play the rules. Promising empty promises just doesn't get you anywhere.

I'd be interested what they come up with as a definition of the contract.

And it's probably cheaper for him to just refund the money... They know their stuff.

I still think the entire even was a marketing created scam. Just because I have a picture of a clown tacking a piss of a midget, doesn't make it art.

Oh this is almost too funny. So, are businesses still lining up to hire this marketing genius? Everyone's (many anyway) been saying he could quit school and be just fine even though that was the purpose of the whole scam ... uh, scheme ... to pay for his education. Sounds like Jr. could use the extra education maybe anyways now?

I don't think the company will win their suit - the terms used in the auction and their take on it are both very subjective and could be taken several ways by several different people.

Besides, as it's been duly pointed out, the company is now getting the press and exposure they wanted.

Hell, Tew will likely countersue and both will get even more PR ;)

    The remedy I recommend is:

six days of downtime= and extra 12 days at the end of the contract, which was for a minimum of, what, like seven years?

    =P

Plus they'd have to prove/demonstrate damages. I'd like to know... since when does the FBI investigate crimes in the U.K.??

The FBI's function is to investigate stuff that happens within the U.S. If this was some kind of international crime then woudn't the CIA be more appropriate?? If it's true I just want to know what happened that needed FBI involvement!

I thought the site initally was hosted in the US? If so then the FBI would be a prudent measure...?

I wonder what all the bandwagon riders / copycat Million $ HP webmasters are thinking now.......fell bad for the guy, tough break, sounds like a scam by the company who bought the last pixels

This is great PR though, if that's what is going on, because it is creating alot of buzz/publicity.
