I think Wire transfer comes faster and also is safe.
It will take around 3 to 7 days.

Wire Transfer is best in this case because if they send you cheque it will take longer to reach your destination, also it’s chance to get missed during transport or even if you got the cheque after deposited in to bank it will take around 20-25 days to get clear this, now it's up to you which you will prefer?

Yeah, wire transfers would stress the brain right?

 

direct bank deposit(transfer) is not available in all countries, but wire is available with many banks almost all countries.(check with the mother banks, or the whose transactions are huge.) but is always time taking, and expensive. and need an invoice form the source (in this case AP). now in $500 we need to pay 15 and upto3%FX total $30 as fees. and some time. I think this is cheap if we compare to the money exchangers.
