    Hi cell4review

We have an entry on our blog addressed “Ways to Avoid Hacking Attempts”, http://blog.alertpay.com/2011/10/alertpay-online-safety-tips.htm

You may refer to the advice in the post on how to make sure your account remains secure.

You may also want to refrain from using a common password, or using the same password for multiple logins.

    Cheers

    Hi maheshnaj

I would like to assist you, that is why I asked for your AlertPay account.

Members in Sri Lanka are able to withdraw via bank wire. If you are unable to withdraw your funds it may go beyond AlertPay.

    Cheers

I have used Alertpay a few times and not had any problems, I am not saying that they are the best or the worst just saying it cannot all be bad. They are a reputable company and the only way they could have got to that status is through being a good payment processor. Just letting you guys know :)

    Alertpay Team,

I've gone through your all responses and I very well figured out the reasons to discontinue business with the users who directly violated your terms and conditions - fine, I am agree with your decision of limiting/closing their accounts and not doing business with them anymore.

However can you please explain what's the point to keep the funds forever with you in that case, especially when the user has provided all the required documents? As you said:
True. But let's take Paypal for example - even if they decide to permanently close your account, they allow you to withdraw your funds after a 180 days window. After that, you can't use the accounts but can get your funds easily.

So, a user violates your terms, you close his account, puts him in watchlist, and don't let him do any business with Alertpay anymore - but on what grounds do you simply hold all his money, which belongs to the user solely, leaving him bankrupt?

I hopefully expect a logical answer of a logical question. (Or please correct if I am wrong and you have any standard policy of releasing the funds after a certain period of time).

    Thanks,

    Hi Ausdrez

There is no need to stop our business relationship with members that are in good standing.

We have never stated that funds will be kept indefinitely. Funds are held based on the severity of the violation.
Funds are kept to offset reversals, charge-backs, claims, fees, fines, penalties and any other activity that may render AlertPay liable.

This information can be found in our user agreement, under section 8.2 https://www.alertpay.com/en/agreements.aspx#8.0%20Closing%20Accounts%20and%20Limiting%20Account%20Access

    Cheers

Ok, Thanks for pointing me out. As I can see in the license agreement:
Ok, I can very well understand that policy. You may need to keep the funds with you to deal with any possible chargebacks, disputes, un-authorized transactions etc.

So, is it safe to assume that if none of that happens, then all the money (or even if it happens, the rest of the money) is available for withdrawal after a hundred and eighty days period to ANY user whose account is limited/closed?

    Hi Ausdrez

Any funds left after charge-backs, claims, fees, fines, penalties and any other activity that may render AlertPay liable is returned to the member.

    Cool.

Ok, listen all members who feel Alertpay has eaten their money - Alertpay WILL return your money after 180 days waiting period (after deducing any chargeback, dispute etc) - So let's wait and watch and I think, you can be assured of getting your money back.

Though if for any reasons, Alertpay denies of returning the funds even after 180 days, just update in this thread so that it can be clarified.
