    Hi Dp'ers,

Just to tell you about my ordeal with alertpay.

I use a forum called EMF to make exchange for my eccurency every time, but the last i did was for LR-AP. Unknown to me,the guy i did the exchange with sent me stolen funds, and after 48hrs of hold i sent him LR. It was after i sent him the LR that Alertpay place a hold on my account asking me to send them my identifications documents, which i did.

Taking them more than a week to verify just an ID card and calling them twice. After a week, they told me that my documents as been approved, and that i should state my relationship with this guy who sent me money.

When i got the message, i quickly explained to them what happened and how the guy stole my LR only for him to send me stolen money which of course was reversed by them. About after like 6 days of replying to that message and also calling them again to ask why they have not replied to my last message, then they sent me an email stating that i wont get my account back with some funds still inside....

We respectfully ask that you seek another payment processor for your online business due to a breach in our User Agreement and the risks associated with the transactions we facilitate on your behalf, unfortunately at this time we have decided to discontinue our business relationship with you.

Please note that only approved exchangers are allowed to operate through our network.

We would like to remind you that your name and information has been added to the AlertPay watch list and future submissions of this information will be declined.

We will not honor any appeals to this decision.
    Code (markup):
I have been to alertpay website for the thousand time , yet i have never seen any section on the home page showing how to get their approved exchangers, Which is not the case with LR or PM.

And now they are saying because i did an exchange with an un approved exchanger my account will be terminated.....which to me is a total whack...and alertpay is a complete WHACK...

If you have your money there, i suggest you get it out when you still can.:mad:

OP, it seems like you should be upset with the individual that scammed you, not AlertPay. If you violate AlertPay's terms, they have no reason to protect you.

    Hi Laora

You may only use authorized exchangers. Transactions with unauthorized exchangers are a direct violation of our User Agreement and will result in account suspension.

There are risks associated with using unauthorized exchangers. AlertPay only allows transfers to or from specific recognized exchangers who have completed a stringent review process to prove their reliability. This is done for the benefit of our members, and to minimize their risk.

Our process for exchanging funds between processor is similar to exchanging funds in the “real world”. You may only exchange funds through authorized exchangers. It is illegal to exchange money with someone on the street. Which is essentially what you did.

To view a list of the exchangers our members can use through our system please do the following:
    1) Login to your AlertPay account and click on "Withdraw".
    2) On the right hand side you will see: "Withdraw funds through an AlertPay-recognized exchanger"
    3) Click on the word "exchanger"

    Cheers

    Sean

Alertpay lot of services very bad, not supported lot of countries and major banks around the world. I highly advice exit from Alertpay account and go to Paypal, Moneybooker, etc. If you held on Alertpay your money and time will lost forever. Alertpay is very bad. :(

I wish people took time to read the TOS, be it PayPal/AlertPay/MoneyBookers or anyone currency exchanges aren't backed by them, if you are scammed you have to deal with it.
