A search on Alertpay's site seems to tell that you can use either

    1.) Cheque
    2.) Bank Wire.

Also they say that Checks will be sent in USD / Euro only. Not in INR for indians. So my question is, if we receive checks in USD then how will we encash the cheque? What are the banking procedures to process cheques in foreign currency? Or least of it, is it TOTALLY even possible that the Bank will accept cheques in foreign currency in the first place?

Can someone please xplain with reference to a national govt bank like SBI bank ?

    thanks.

    To: nutty Professor,
Some banks requires that you should have a Foreign currency account to deposit your cheques sent in US or Euro. Again in some banks you can deposit your cheque in your normal current or savings account and bank will convert the amount collected from your cheque to your local currency with current exchange rate. It will take around 15 business days for the collection of your cheque and bank will cut a collection charge as well.

If you have an account in SBI you can get your foreign currency cheque collected and deposited in your bank account. But I would prefer to go with Standard Chartered for this kind of transaction.

You can withdraw to your CC or Bank Account.
