An Al-Qaida linked terrorist attempted to explode a bomb on a flight landing at Detroit today on Christmas Day.

There's a second, minor story here.

Almost every single Christmas, presidents have spent the entire holiday season in DC so that their Secret Service detail and their advisers could be with their families.

Obama spent his in Hawaii. Sure, it's a nice vacation spot, but there would be no place on the planet nice enough to lure me away from Christmas with my kids.

This, in and of itself, tells me a lot about Obama. It killed the last part of me that had any optimism about that man.

There is a privately owned Prison that is about 45 minutes away from me that closed a few years back which was purchased by the federal government and is being upgraded to possibly be used to house Guantanamo prisoners, which ironically is in Michigan and is 1 of the top choices for the new location.
