Akismet

My IP got flagged by Akismet, is there a way to work around this? I don't spam comments, and I have no idea who got my IP flagged.

 

Well if your on shared hosting it could be some on on the ip adress,

I would suggest moving to a completely new server if possible then getting a dedicated ip, but you could always buy a dedicated ip for the server your on, aswell as dedicated ips for the nameservers

wait - it's not your server IP, it's YOUR ip that got flagged, right?
either way, i'm guessing it happened by mulitple people marking your comments as spam in their akismet.. do you comment a lot? is it possible others thought your comments were spammy even though you dont?

i dunno.. call your ISP and ask how to get a new IP ?

R U sure your IP address got banned and not the URL you are posting for example?

 

Akismet flags people email addresses, as far as i know..

Have you checked commenting with other email address?

 

agree with Tearabite , its not your server IP, it can be your ip. Akismet even block URLs
eg- if you use a specific URL which marked as spam, you can't comment, but u can comment with another URL...
