Ajax Tutorial/Tutor - having trouble grasping xmlhttprequest

    I have tried w3schools, tizag, even a horrible tutorial from Google Code, and can not understand how it works - I understand the browser checking, but its the calling of the PHP script that I don't understand, and while I can copy code from the website and it works, if I then change the PHP script, the Ajax still processes the old PHP.

    So if anyone would like to give me pointers here or over MSN, it would be incredibly appreciated,
