Iam using Ajax in my site to gnerate results without re-loading the main Page. For eg. when do you enter a search text in place name text box it is quering & producing results without reloading the Page due to Ajax. This method is very user friendly, because the Nos. direct visitors increased. But I Nos. of sisitors through searcg engines still in the Low Range ( Only 5%) . How I Increased SEO without harm t Ajax Process?
It would depend on your website, your target etc. It is a little hard to say without seeing the website itself. However, there are a couple of thing you could do. You could have the pretty AJAX pages on the front page, and directly linked from the front page. However you could then place the contents you are loading on other pages that might sit a little deeper on the site. They could be linked to from the sitemap and from a "read more" button. Does that make sense?
about SEO & AJAX, at present bots cant still crawl for the best as static urls; so you should recode your script, just use AJAX for the infos that you think it's not important to be crawled
Let me get this straight...You are using Ajax and content is appearing without changing page/re-loading page. If I am not missing anything, does your webpage title changes everytime a new page loads? If not, than you are missing one of the most important on-page factor. Title tag can bring some surprising results (even if you don't have enough backlinks) So, I would rather suggest you to add PAGES separately within your site but without Ajax. You are right about the user-friendly thing, but you said it to yourself that; you aren't getting enough from search engines. The best thing you could do is to add a blog and write unique content frequently. Control your on-page SEO by all-in-one SEO plugin for WordPress. Remember, on-page SEO is ignored by most of the SEOs but if you would ever get a chance to watch Google's Matt Cutt's videos, than I am sure you would find out easily that Google wants you to pay special attention on your on-page SEO too as well as on backlinks and off-page. Hope this helps.
Here's a small article google posted about SEO and ajax http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2009/10/proposal-for-making-ajax-crawlable.html
