AJAX PR Checking site (unlimited datacenters)

I'm really kind of bored of seeing the same PR Checking script running around, so I bring to the table this unique AJAX PR Checker. It checks unlimited data centers and does so sequentially.

The benefit here is that other PR Checkers, even my own, pause until they deliver your list of data centers. At about 5 data centers a second, it can take a while to deliver more than a handful. At which time your visitor has likely left your site.

Furthermore, if one data center is no longer accepting queries (which happens more often than I'd like), your script pauses and you have no idea which data center is causing it.

With this site/script, your visitor sees the results start to come in right away. And - in the event a data center is no longer accepting queries - you can see which one it is and remove it immediately.

This site/script comes with all 73 data centers that I know of. You can remove or add as many as you'd like.

This site is unique in design, and this design will not be sold again. I do reserve the right to use this design as a piece of my portfolio though.

I'll entertain offers over $100 for the site. If you're just interested in the script, PM me.

Resell rights are not included, and will never be sold for this script.

    ***please note:
If you are known to sell these types of sites around the forums, I will not sell this site or a copy of the script to you. Nothing against those of you, but It is important to me that this script not be whore'd around like so many others.

    -Cheers

    .

There have been a few common questions I have received:

Q: Does this site/script get its results from another site?
A: No. This script queries Google directly. It does not leech off any other sites.

    Q: Is there any revenue?
A: Yes. But very little. The site has only been up for two days, and only today has it been given a template. For the most of today and yesterday though, it did not have ads. I have been feeding it a small amount of untargeted traffic, and it has made $4.41 in two days on 134 uniques. The traffic and clicks came from an image hosting site, so like I said. Very untargeted.

Q: Do I get resell rights?
A: Absolutely not. However: By purchasing this site, I will allow you to put this script on just one other site.

Q: Will this site be sold again?
A: No. The script that powers this site, yes. But it is priced so that not many people are interested in the script - which is the way I like it. Eventually someone will clone it. And that's fine. I already have the next generation of PR Checker waiting in the wings. And yes, by purchasing this site you guarantee yourself a free copy of it.

Q: Does the non-AJAX version come with the site as well?
A: Yes. I will include the non-AJAX version of the script in this sale as well.

Also note: You will also receive updates in the future for free. So instead of having to buy a new script when Google changes something, You can come to me and get the new version for free. How's that for customer service?

    -Cheers!

If you have a question about the site, feel free to ask me.

As for slow, it's as fast as you can query the PR from a google server. The process cannot get any faster.

The screen 'drags', because the page is getting longer as the results come in.

i do have a few questions. would it be possible to add a stop button as well as possibly placing hte results in two or three coloums?

seems like those two additions would really add to the site

and if for some reasons this site ever stops functioning would you be willing to fix it?

i have a few other questions to ask in pm, i will make my offer there.

A stop button could be added, sure.

As for putting it in to a multiple column layout... It could be adjusted to create divs that float left and it would look like a multiple column layout. Kind of a pain since it relies on .js for displaying the results - but it could be done yes.

If it stops functioning because of technical reasons, then absolutely - you get the fixed version.

    I'll wait for your PM.

It seems to me like the page is refreshing including the url of the queried site. Isn't that atypical of asynchronous?

Do you know why it is slow. It's been a minute and I have not seen any results.
Given that your using Ajax - Is it possible to send the PR query to N datacenters and display them as they are received instead of querying each DC sequentually as you stated.

    @JuggernautH
    PM sent.

The scipt is written in a way that you can, if you choose, set it to not refresh the page with the url. I chose to run it to refresh because I made the site to be functional, not fashionable. When I utilize technologies, I do so for the purpose of utilizing them to make a script - I don't make a script by utilizing a technology. It's doesn't use AJAX so it can be buzzword compliant. It uses it because it just made sense to use it.

What browser and version are you using?

I get a pop up error, using firefox.

also, there needs to be a way to stop the process, as the page scrolls down, and you cannot get back to the input form to add another.

This is a sales thread, not a review thread.

It would be nice to know what the popup error is though.

A button to stop the process wouldn't be difficult to implement.

I am really interested in this, but I get an error when I submit and it has been serveral minutes with no results. Is anyone else getting an error? Or do I just have a faulty browser? :)
