Ajax Class for PHP

    Can any one Suggest a Good Ajax class to use with PHP.

    Keeping in mind that i am not using any Framwork or MVC Pattern in my application.

    It is plain PHP App.

    Jquery and Prototype are good I've heard.
    I haven't used them myself though
