lol, I didn't say I'd be making good money, I said I'd be making enough. lol, but did you see my edit to the post about my testing? I had removed the other part from my reply since it was unimportant to me. It's the testing I'm worried about. When it comes to money, it depends on how you manage it and what you do with it. But look at my post about the testing I quoted below.
> Nobody in the Northwest has passed it yet I was the only one ever to pass the NFQT in my area. Why? Because it was hard, no. Because anyone that could add 2 and 2 came from a Hispanic area was automatically grabbed up for college scholarships, or military recruiters talked them into officer candidate school. I was adamant I wasn't going to college right out of high school, so the military was for me. I never wanted a commission, so i was the only one that took the test and passed, because I wanted to. All the other boobs were tossed in to fill seats. Don't let statistics or blah, blah about how hard a test is, most of the time it's a mental game to scare away people who aren't committed to even trying. If you are, then just relax, practice and Good Luck. tom
Yeah, you're right. I was scared before the SATs, I don't remember my score but I did pretty good even though I didn't study and everyone kept telling me how hard it is. Than I went to take it and forgot my calculator and pencil, they gave me a pencil but I had to do it without a calculator. Scary, lol, but I did it and did pretty good. Yeah, I'm sure I'll pass. lol, though it is exhilarating. I was told that if I even try they'll make sure I get the kind of job I want because I was willing to try. That does make sense. Thanks for all your help. I very much appreciate it.
Have fun and good luck Kc3. I remember trying to get into the AirForce. I did fantastic on my ASVAB, but when I went in for the physical I checked the box that said, "I have used an inhaler past age 16." That ended things for me. I'd only used it playing soccer, but they didn't care. I even went to the Air Force hospital and they tested me out like crazy. Lady wanted me to run until I had an asthma attack. I told her we'd be there awhile since I'd never had one.... she didn't believe me, but there we were 25 minutes later still running. She screwed me though because in the report she said my airway volume went up after getting a shot from an inhaler... it went up a fraction of a percent, but the 3 review commitees after that said that it wasn't worth the risk (I guess they really cracked down after so many people had issues in the first Gulf War). Oh well I moved back to Colorado, started dating my wife and got married now so it all worked out in the end.
Damn, I had used an inhaler once because of an Allergic Asthma Attack. It wasn't a diagnosed Asthma but the recruiter told me not to mention it since they won't check unless I show reason to need to be checked.
Yeah I have several friends that have joined the various military branches and every single one of them said their recruiter told them not to mention something.
Screw you Hodge! I haven't used one for years actually. Though you might need one when you come visit for the Red Rocks concert...
Ok Bazkaz I won't make fun of you if you don't make fun of me. I have to wear a headgear for my braces.
well if that's the case I must use an inhaler, but at least I don't look like a telemarketing experiment gone wrong! j/k... I don't use an inhaler.
Went up! Guess that means after 25 mins of running you were holding back! Obviously not being all you can be, without the drugs of course. I was diagnosed with Asthma while in the military. I tried to use it to get out, figured with all my training and a quick medical discharge was worth a few bucks. Muahahhaah OK kidding, the government sent lots of money on me, (second most expensive major program in the Navy), so they weren't letting me go at all. They just prevented me from doing any super secret missions where my wheezing could give us away. I did my full obligation. Damn!
I'm not really a 14 year old boy with headgear. I hope you didn't think that, because if you did that meant you were trying to lure a teen boy up to red rock for rock throwing and other stuff.
So I'm not getting a new transformer? You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Crazy_Rob again.
