Description:
AIMBUZZ.COM is a unique graphical extended profile service for AIM (AOL Instant Messenger). Basically, users sign up and receive a code that they place in their AIM profiles, which links to their AIMBUZZ.COM extended profile which is a graphical profile that opens up in AIM Today, or otherwise their defualt browser if they are not using the official AIM client. Each user has many features and control/edit his/her profile from the site itself, or directly via the profile. In order to really know what this site consists of and how everything works, I strongly suggest you sign up for an account. In addition to a great user side, the administrator panel contains many sections, and basically controls the whole site [edit the code, user list with lots of details and various ways to search for a user, e-mail members (special offer, news - based on their choice... and urgent message to all), profile settings, photo gallery, templates, journal, friends, guestbook, e-mail, sub-pages, emoticons, advertisements, detailed/various statistics, and change password ].

This site was professionally developed in the course of approximately 3 months. Getting this site up has been a goal of mine for over a year and finally I had the money to spend on its development so I decided to get it done and am extremely satisfied with the results.

The site currently has 3650 accounts and was released on June 21, 2005. I really love the site and the only reason I am selling it is because I don't have what it takes to advertise this site for it to grow and prosper as I would like for it to. I am currently a student and don't have the time, nor money to invest in advertising for this website. In my opinion, it would be a lot better off and way bigger if it were in the hands of a more professional webmaster who either has other large sites to advertise this one on, and/or knows of a great way to promote it and has the proper resources.

The site currently has no revenue because their are no advertisements on it, but there are spots on the site and within profiles and on the site itself that advertsing is meant to be integrated, some which are really seemless and effective (text links, as the cool links of users).

I'd be interested in seeing some actual visitor stats on the website, as well as stats on the actual signups. I'd also like to know how the site has been promoted so far to get those initial signups.

I can see the potential in this, but I'm also cautious since my experience is a lot of people sign up for "free accounts" then don't use them.

I'd also be interested in if this script has been sold to anyone else?

On another note... the site hasn't really been advertised that much. I simply traded links with a few sites (ones onthis page - http://www.aimbuzz.com/index.php?rm=pages_other_sites ) and that's pretty much where all users come from.

Don't forget this site pretty much advertises itself... while it's in profiles and people see it, and then choose to get one of their own.

About stats on actual sign ups, they're pretty much in the post the way you wanted, but it's not really specified the way you're asking.

As it says, when I created this post there were 2794 (now more, increases constantly) accounts that have been created and are confirmed via e-mail and are currently considered to be active. Then there is the total amount of accounts created which was 3650 when this thread was made (now

As for visits there has been a total of 45219 since it's open.

And no this script has not been sold to anyone. It is 100% original was developed especially for this website.

About dropping the starting price to $400, I'm sorry but unfortunately I can't do that. The price it cost to develop this site completely exceeds the starting bid, there's no way it can really go lower then that.

Someone asked me via PM where advertisements can be placed on the site and I thought it may be useful for others interested in the site as well so I decided to add this information to the thread.

Screen shots may be seen below. All the yellow spots highlight the advertisement spots controlled via administrator panel. In these spots you may insert html code to add onto what is currently in the highlighted spot or to replace it. You may also create your own templates using the add template feature and put advertisements wherever you wish throughout the template(s) that you add.

In the previous post that shows all advertisement spots I forgot to add/mention one other key spot. Here is a screen shot.



In this spot, users may specify up to 4 cool links of their own to be displayed, and from the administrator panel, 3 more may be added which are displayed under the users current cool links. So if the user has 2 cool links, you may have as advertisements, 3 more under that and their fields are html so you can use anchor text.
