    Hello everyone,

I've got a schoolproject where I am creating a community for Dutch teens from 13 years old and up!

Te site will be alot about profiles, games, movies, music etc!

How can I target this group with a very tight budget ( and how i've I got a somewhat bigger budget? )

Thank you for your time and reply!

Your question is not clear, you are talking development point of view or promotion point of view

I understand what you're saying and trying to accomplish;) i myself come from The Netherlands so here's a few ideas for you.

Make your site known on forums as TMF and The Box, this could generate some nice traffic and visitors telling each other about the site...keep the ball rolling:)

I don't know what your budget is but if it fits in your budget you could place an ad in ''de metro'' and ''spits krant'' these papers would definately give you some traffic and also visitors that will start telling about your site to other youngsters.

gamekings.nl? do they have a forum? if so mention your url overthere;)

Find dutch gaming forums and mention your url there. This is what came up to me at this point.

    Good luck:cool:

i might be able to help with a link or something, my teen advice site seems to attract a lot of american members, and just checking my stats i do get the ocassional visit from the Netherlands (thats dutch right?)

I think to target them more, you need to find sites like i did with my teen sites that specialise in things in the uk (in my case i targetted the uk goverment sites - im sure you have the equivilant in your country??)

And i also reckon that no matter how you advertise you will always attract members from other countries, like i state on my site all information/advice i give is based on the UK laws, but that dosnt stop the americans joining up and sharing their problems etc (no im not moaning :))

[EDIT]Also find my post on here about marketting for teens, that might give ya some help[/EDIT]

You can try adwords and only target dutch users. You wont have anything to differentiate age, but if you make your ads something that only a person of the targeted age would click on you could get some good turn around.

what about local newspapers (not national ones) the ones that give local news and stuff, shouldnt cost much to get in there.

Start by getting your local community involved, schools, shops, council etc, then take it national once your off the ground.

well the problem is (i know, have had this before) that if i first go for local, everyone in my village will be on it for 1 - 2 month(s) and then it's to hard to get from other places, because they don't feel home, because it's so much local!!!

That's why i'm trying to get a lot of people from different directions in the netherlands

Oh and shold I seo my site aswell and how much do these services cost for sites like this?

Just ask him how does he get the site noticed and stuff, if ya ask nicely he should give ya some ideas. Dont forget to explain what your site is about, and what it plans to do etc.

Cu2.nl is the biggest online website for teens afaik. Also try to find a few MSN tools websites. Teens tend to love MSN stuff, and those websites usually have a problem getting sponsors. (teen websites have to be big before advertisers really bite). Also Fok.nl and their forums could be interesting.

Contact me on MSN, I might know some people to get in contact with. Oh and Make sure you get all linkpages from teen portals. Holland has enough portals to get you some traffic?

Yeah Cu2.nl is one of the biggest I know. I'll check out the sites you mentioned, and just opened a conversation with you on msn! Anyone else?
