Education stats are available for all those countries. I don't see you rushing to post them..... Why not?

Education in Nazi Germany was pretty good, the fact that Hitler was educated did not make him any less of a brutal murderer. Education in Israel is "ok", but it does not change the fact that they are fascist colonial bastards.

It doesn't matter whether we are talking about education, human rights, economy, womens rights, science, health care, public safety, or corruption. I'm sure the folks in Israel are losing sleep at night, studying the fine examples of Lebanon, Egypt, and Syria, to figure out how they can improve and be more like them.

Really? I was told they cant sleep at night coz they worry too much about another Treblinka. I guess that was mere propaganda to win my sympathy.

Come to think of it, can you think of any nation anywhere that aspires to be more like Syria, or Jordan, or Lebanon, or Egypt?

    Maybe Somalia?

Maybe Afghanistan? Btw, why do Jews need another state when they have one in Afghanistan?

I asked you where did they participate, any edu forums, competitons? If you think you know of any results, post them. How am I gonna post them if I havent seen such?

I think you would go to school and educate yourself and perhaps fly to another country to participate in some competition when your dad/mum are fighting on the streets, am I right? And do you really think wealthy oil rich countries like UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, etc. are all genious, right? Why didnt you ask about them? You only mentioned the ones who struggle :)

Actually Popotalk posted them here on this thread. You must have missed it.

Sources for the information can, of course, be found in the rankings. If you are having trouble comparing the literacy numbers (or in the case of Israel's neighbors, illiteracy numbers), look for the percentage. It gives you an apples to apples comparison number you can use to compare any of these nations, regarding how many of their citizens of age 15 or above can read.

LoL. So you are thinking the only way to compare the education level of people from two different countries is to ship everyone from one country to the other and have them all sit for the same exam?

    LOL.

Why don't they have the right to their own country? This just makes no sense other than you hate them and don't want to see them succeed. Hate is just such a strong word for an entire people. That would be akin to me stating that Muslims don't need their own countries. They can all go live in Antarctica where there's plenty of land. I don't believe that, but with reference to the Jews, the sad thing is, you do.

    Unable to connect
Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.nationmaster.com.

Perhaps, we can find another site that is up, erh? Here we go:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_literacy_rate

List of countries by literacy rate:

    61 61 Israel 97.1
    77 77 Palestinian Authority 94.6

aint really that far I guess ?

So you like planes ok, what about the rest?

I'm not denying Jews their own country, I'm saying they don't need a 2nd one, they already have one in Afghanistan, most people that live in Afghanistan are descendants of Jews. What I do object to is Zionism and Zionists who believe in the so called "promised land" that God gave to them.

Does the term "double standard" mean anything to you? Why is it o.k. for hardline Muslims to do this or that because it's written and ordained by Allah? But if Jews feel that God desires them in the holy land then it's not kosher.
Point of fact is that all sides do things believing that God is on their side.So please keep that out of the argument,or risk looking hyphocritical.

Now isn't that interesting. No, it isn't that far. In fact, considering Israel's other, non-occupied neighbors, the Palestinian Authority is kicking ass. Check it out:

    Iran: 91.1
    Jordan: 91.1
    Lebanon: 89.6
    Syria: 84.2
    Iraq: 78.1
    Egypt: 66.4

Very curious that the oppressed people of the "occupied territories" are recieving a better education than all of their "free" and "unopressed" neighbors.

Im surprised too. Are you implying that jew teachers in Palestine?

    Lets add to that list:
    Qatar 94.7
    United Arab Emirates 90.0
    Saudi Arabia 86.1
    Oman 81.4

What are you actually saying and why arent above "free" and "unopressed" countries in your list? By the way Iran & Iraq are not sharing borders with Israel geographically.

OHHH. He's going to throw in the dreaded "Censor" word now. You'll be accused of trying to censor him and he WILL.. NOT.. STAND.. FOR.. THAT...

WAIT! WHAT??!!!!!! I tell him to take his hateful rhetoric someplace else and I'm trying to censor him, but Spoiltdiva gets a request to find out where her heated kitchen is. . . I think he's sweet on you 'Diva. He's looking for your kitchen....

I highly doubt the Jews are teaching in Palestine. I just find it interesting that, considering the level of hostility over the occupation, people in Palestine seem to be getting on with their lives. Of course there are other measures of how educated your people are. Having every person over age 15 be able to read is a great start. Another would be what percentage of the population has primary education. What percentage has secondary education. What percentage has tertiary education. How many Nobel prize winning scientists and doctors came from your population. What type of achievements are the companies from your nation achieving.

You dig up those other stats, and you'll find Isreal well qualified to sit in the top 20, and an order of magnitude ahead of any of her neighbors, "oppressed" or "free".

Qatar is too small and too oil soaked (wealthy) to even be considered with the rest. I listed Iran and Iraq because they are still neighbors, even though they don't share a border.

What does it all mean? 1) Israel is not the source of Arab problems. 2) If Arab countries would work on resolving these other problems, within their own borders, they would be much better equipped to kick ass on Israel. Of course the flip side to that is, once they are doing well without worrying about Israel, they may no longer have the desire to kill the Jews. Just a thought.

Was you talking to Khamenei ? I don't think he visits these forums.

Iraq supported by the US failed to conquer Iran the 80's. And this was some 25 years ago, things have changed. Iran has been underestimated, any attack on their nuclear facilities will be met with severe retaliation. I think they are deliberately provoking Israel into a war because they have some tricks up their sleeves that will shock the world.
