    30 day hold? Most i've ever had was a 7 day hold and that was for a 30,000 dollar check from yahoo.

    Ya.. that is what a normal bank does.. but of course the bank i use is not in town... So i used my secondary bank.. and they are TERRIBLE!

    Anything from the US they hold for 30 days... even a MONEY ORDER!!? I was not aware you could even hold a money order.. but of course they find a way.. I am closing my bank account as soon as 30 days is up.. i need that money :\

    You fool, the same thing happened to me, except I knew it was from Google and still ripped it (cheap envelopes). Nevertheless, the bank accepted it.

    Put some scotch tape on it and take it down to the bank, it doesn't look ripped all the way through. I've cashed worse...not from google but from other sources.
