Agloco - I'm dissapointed with my referrals

Discussion in 'Affiliate Programs' started by imbrod, Jan 13, 2007.

I joined Agloco relatively late (5 days ago) and managed to refer 10 people.
But my referrals are very lazy. Total number of extended referrals is 1.
Why don't they put some effort?
    :(

I know what you mean, I have the same problem. I guess it's all about referring the right kind of people who are motivated and understand the system.

It may be a little slow to begin with, but just keep referring and the results will show. I am up to 369 people in my network now (130 direct and 239 extended). With the current pace in my network, I will get around 200-250 extra people every month.

    Be creative, and keep referring.

I think Agloco may work as long as they can convince the public they are not spyware.

The reason your referral aren't referring is this....think about it.

Hey man, check this out. Get paid to surf the net.

Yeah man that sounds cool (didn't they do this in the 90s)

They sign up. Oh wait, its not available yet.

Even I have a hard time recommending something to someone when there is no garuntee it will be available.

Here is what I am now sending out.

    Hey (your friends name),

This note is mainly to offer you a chance to help build AGLOCO, it is a Member-owned Internet community.

Here is why I would like you to help. First, it is free. Second - it is quick and easy to join. Third, AGLOCOs purpose is to get its members their share of the money generated on the Internet (i.e. you make money). And lastly, if you help build the AGLOCO network you can make much more.

Here is a link to sign up http://www.agloco.com/

AGLOCO works with a toolbar type software called a Viewbar. Privacy is very strict so no spyware, popups or spam.

As to how much money you can make, there is a study which says the average user should get $5 to $15 a month. (But less at the beginning.) Click here to read the report. http://simmonsreport.spaces.live.com/ .

How much can you make helping to build the network? The Simmons Report predicts $30 per referral. I have 369, but a friend of mine RZ McCall has over 8,000. He has a great blog site http://mccallsnotes.spaces.live.com/ .

AGLOCO is in their beta phase which is the best time to help them build out the network. So please join now and help build the network. Have questions? Their website has all the details so go there http://www.agloco.com/ or ask me.

    See ya,

    (your name)

Those are some nice links for agloco, does anyone have anymore?

Has anyone actually used the bar yet?

Another problem is/will be the rapid spread of the program. In a while when everybody on forums like this have heard about it and even seen it the referrals will slow dramatically and alternative channels will have to be sourced.

Whereas if you have a relatively unknown scheme with better/more reliable returns then your results will be a lot more handsome! :)

In the meantime, I have 15 direct referrals now and my extended network grew on 2 referrals.
I'm still much more productive than my referrals...

You might try offering FREE help with the program. I offer FREE help to all the affiliates that sign up with me. I have had good success with the programs and figure if they sign up with me the least I can do is help them make some money!

I think AGLOCO is just a good viral marketing trick, you guys are just wasting your time, like they want to pay everything to the 'community', right, and be broke themselves?

You're falling for that bullc*ap, imho, I bet they will pay you $0.00001 for every user you refer. Although there are gonna be 'rich' AGLOCO members, just to show that it 'really' works.

Take no offense, It's just there is no such companies that would pay you money just for viewing. I'm pretty sure that you will get money only when someone buys something on the net and has that Viewbar, but count how many people in AGLOGO want money for free, I don't think they will go and buy something on the Net.

Well, I could agree with you in the part "we'll see how it turns out"

But the thing is, they do have great marketing potential and the outcome should be great unless they sc**w it up.
Imagine, you have million or couple of million users rotating ads, that's a big marketing value. They plan to share marketing revenue with the users, accordingly.

If they don't get greedy, there should be enough money for all.

I am a member of Agloco with no referral. I think that may be the forum of advertising I used for my link. I gave a pretty basic review with my thoughts of the company and posted it on two of the websites I work with. (wna.com.ru and itsmnm.net) Still zero referrals. Oh well, I wasn't exactly expecting any. :p

The Viewbar is suposed to be out in a few weeks. I received an email about it today, which included:

So I have a feeling it isn't to far away, and even if it is, I hope it will be worth it.

I think the biggest shame would be if the Viewbar was browser specific. In example, it only supported Internet Explorer. If it was, I have a feeling that I wouldn't use Agloco. :p
