    If your competitor is SEOing too cleanly, throw some chaos in the mix - purchase 5,000 links for $50 on DigitalPoint and send it their way (to make your link building pattern seem “normal”)


    hmmm.. what about business ethics?

    Haha i just read that part too and i'm dying - i've never actually tried that tactic before though, figured it could backfire lol and boost their rankings

    Didn't see anything too aggressive there. Sponsorships are good though. Often you get a decent amount of traffic from the links.

    LOL and hopefully whatever idiot did this will have it done right back to them. What a jackass for prescribing sabotage as a way to boost your rankings.

    That's why I posted up Jay Young's strategies as "Aggressive"

    It's not particularly "sabotage" - it won't hurt their rankings - but in Young's viewpoint, it just will make their SEO efforts look just as murky as yours. It will in effect make your link building pattern seem "normal" so you won't stand out.
