I recently got an Agent ANA Trojan spyware virus on my laptop. Nasty thing it hijacks internet explorer and loads spam sites.

With some effort I'm able to contain the problem - I'm using another browser right now. But I cannot get rid of the Virus itself. Does anyone know how to remove the Agent ANA Trojan spyware virus?

    Hi,

Many anti-virus tools should be able to remove this trojan. Did you try any of them?
You can try CureIt. It is free and designed to work on already infected computers.

I tried some antivirus tools, yes. But non of them did remove it, while some of them did at least pick it up, yet not all.

Unfortunately your link is not working.

Have you tried you AV in Safe Mode?

If that fails or already failed try HijackThis (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/hijackthis.php). This will not fix your problem but will help you clean it. Run HijackThis on your computer and then post the logs to the same forum you downloaded the file from (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com).

This should help you. The people on that board are very good with their instructions.

    Hope this helps.

Depending on your level of use, you may want to use one or several of the tools below:

    • MalwareBytes Anti-Malware - It's specifically created with cleaning malware in mind. Works especially well on trojans. Official Site
    • HijackThis - Great tool that makes a detailed report of your machine. Run it, save the log, and paste it on an a forum that will analyze HijackThis logs for you (for free too). If you can't find one, post it here and I'll try to analyze it for you. Official Site
    • GMER - If the above fails, you can try to use this excellent anti-rootkit software to identify and hopefully remove the rootkit, and from there you can use your anti-virus or Malwarebytes' program. Official Site

Good luck! Post back here soon with results or a log.
